This week CCVI delivered many donation checks. $4,200 for a Veteran and single mother who is injured and out of work for her rent, $3,000 for a disabled Veteran's family with a disabled child needing rent and money for bills, so much thanks to Terry O'Donnell of the Sand Dollar Family Rest. for the gift cards to help the family. $1,000 for a Veteran and family who was laid off. Again accolades to Terry O and the Sand Dollar for delivering weekly dinners to needy Veterans at the Dennis Veterans Home—tip of the hat to The Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach for all they do and MA Veterans Service Officers Hyannis (Shawney Carroll and Greg Quilty) for endless work making sure our Vetean are taken care of. Veterans needing assistance can contact Adam at the VA Center for confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Our services include counseling for needs such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). We can also connect you with more support in VA and your community.
